WASHINGTON, DC -- House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection (DCCP) Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) today announced Melissa Froelich as the new Chief Counsel of the subcommittee.
"We are pleased to see Melissa step up and continue the great work the Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee has already accomplished this Congress,” said Latta and Walden. “Melissa has been instrumental in our efforts to move landmark legislation that encourages the safe development of self-driving vehicles, which hold the potential to save thousands of lives each year. We know that she will keep driving the subcommittee forward as we look to the future of emerging technologies and how they impact consumers across the country."
Froelich has served as Counsel for the subcommittee this Congress, and prior to that as Counsel for the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade since July 2014.
